The Shed Sportsbar
A brand built on memory, mateship, and music
Tucked away in the laid-back coastal enclave of Sanur, The Shed is an Australian-owned bar that celebrates the spirit of yesteryear with vintage memorabilia, classic cars, and ice-cold drinks under the Bali sun. Formerly known as The Man Shed, the venue approached us to lead a full-scale rebrand that would broaden their appeal and inject new energy into their visual identity.
Aussie expats are fluent in nostalgia, so we worked to reshape the venue’s story from exclusionary to inclusive, while keeping the gritty charm that locals and regulars had come to love. The new name, The Shed, pays tribute to its roots while creating room for a more welcoming and contemporary identity.
Turning Back the Clock with Design
Leaning into nostalgia, the new visual identity draws on the bold aesthetics of mid-century garage culture. A punchy palette of orange, black and white commands attention across all touchpoints, from the hand-painted signage to uniform trims. Custom typography and classic design flourishes nod to vintage petrol stations and roadside diners, creating an instant sense of familiarity and fun.
We developed a suite of collateral that brought this refreshed identity to life, including logos, menus, uniforms, apparel, and social media assets. A full photography suite and set of print ads were also produced, capturing the energy, character, and eclectic memorabilia that define The Shed’s nostalgic atmosphere.
